Our
Approach

We work through building. Hands-on making is how ideas are tested, refined, and moved forward. Direct engagement with materials and processes allows decisions to happen quickly, as things take shape.

We operate as a small, focused team embedded alongside our partners. By working across design, engineering, and manufacturing, we help connect decisions, align teams, and keep development progressing toward production.

1

Define+
Frame

We work with teams to understand the problem, constraints, and goals. This establishes a clear direction and a set of criteria used to evaluate progress throughout development.

2

Explore+
Build

Concepts are developed through rapid, low-fidelity prototypes. These early builds are used to explore possibilities, test assumptions, and identify constraints quickly.

3

Prototype+
Evaluate

Promising directions are developed into more functional prototypes. These builds are used to evaluate performance, interaction, and how systems behave under real conditions.

4

Resolve+
Prepare

We refine key details with production in mind, resolving geometry, materials, and integration. DFM principles are applied to define a clear and realistic path toward manufacturing.

Ovidio Garcia| VP of Footwear, Arc'teryx

“Bryce becomes an extension of the team. He integrates into the process quickly, collaborates closely, and helps shape how we approach challenges as they come up.”

Jason Marziani| Director of Engineering, Matterport

“Bryce delivered across multiple constraints and helped our team rethink both design and build. He is resourceful, reliable, and a pleasure to work with.”

James Thompson| Associate Director, smartPPE, Ansell

“Bryce has a rare ability to work across materials, mechanical systems, and electronics. He turns ideas into working prototypes while keeping manufacturability in mind from the start.”

Josh Herr| Global Senior Director of Footwear Design, Arc'teryx

“I’ve worked with Bryce and Studio KMD for a while, and they’re a constant source of creative and technical innovation. They help us bridge design and engineering, explore ideas, refine processes, and turn early concepts into real, functional product.”

John Welsh| CEO, OsciFlex

“They move quickly and bring creative solutions with a high level of technical depth. The work is hands-on, and progress is visible early in the process.”
